About the speakers
Emily Alonso
Principal Consultant & CEO, Impact Allies
Emily Alonso is the Principal Consultant & CEO of Impact Allies, LLC where she supports a portfolio of nonprofits in the education and workforce development space to improve their work-based learning and internship program efforts geared towards young people.
Working closely with LA-Tech.org to place over 200 young people from marginalized communities in paid tech internships, Emily has spent the last two years honing in on best practices for a virtual internship. She has worked closely with young people and employers to develop an ideal week-by-week virtual internship experience including professional development and accountability practices that help maintain the integrity and value of the experience.
Currently, Emily is pursuing a PhD in Education at UC Davis, with her research in online learning, workforce development and Community Colleges greatly informing her consulting practice. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration USC and a Bachelor's in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis.
Tina Zwolinski
CEO of skillsgapp
Tina Zwolinski is the CEO and Co-founder of skillsgapp, the first in the skills-based training sector to offer customized, location-based gaming apps focused on helping Generation Z gain the middle and soft skills necessary to participate in the skills-based jobs sector that includes manufacturing and other technical industries.
Headquartered in Greenville, SC, with a west coast office in Orange County, California, skillsgapp’s mission is to connect youth to life-changing careers through game-changing play.

Prior to founding skillsgapp, Tina launched and led ZWO, a branding and marketing firm focused on economic and workforce development and generational consumer brands. During the more than two decades that Tina led and grew ZWO, she became more passionate about helping youth gain awareness and access to more varied, alternative career paths, further expanding their horizons in the workforce.

Tina serves on the board for Fostering Great Ideas and on the Academic Advisory Council for the national Skilled Trades Alliance. Tina also mentors middle and high school youth.
Amy Haggarty
Director, Partnership Strategy & Engagement, Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation
As Director of Partner Strategy and Engagement, Amy Haggarty manages partner engagement programs across our foundation’s technology grants and open online learning platforms, NonprofitReady.org, DisasterReady.org and WorkforceReady.org, enabling nonprofits to increase the reach and impact of their own programs by building capacity across their staff, partners, and clients.
Before joining the foundation, Amy was an implementation consultant for Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), working closely with clients of all sizes and industries to ensure successful deployments of the CSOD talent management software. Prior to her work with Cornerstone, she was a learning and performance consultant at both Convergys Learning Solutions and DigitalThink, where she worked with clients to design and develop comprehensive e-learning solutions.

Amy has an MA in learning, design, and technology from Stanford University and a BA in cultural anthropology from Duke University.
